The Junior Youth Program Curriculum
Our curriculum
The curriculum for the junior youth program is structured around a series of 15 texts designed to be studied over the course of three years. All of the texts in the curriculum are concerned with developing language skills and the power of expression. Some also address mathematical concepts and social issues, while others seek to prepare young people to approach the investigation of physical, social and spiritual reality in a scientific manner.
The curriculum aims to generate a love for learning, curiosity, and strong character in all middle schoolers.
Inspiration
Most of the texts in the program are “Baha’i-inspired”: though the moral concepts in the texts are drawn from the Bahá’í teachings, they are not religious in nature, nor do they treat subjects that are specifically Bahá’í or reference Baha’i texts directly, although they may draw on some Baha’i quotes.
